Upon entering the 12’ double doors with brass detail and stepping into the inner court, you’re greeted by a reflection pool with a fountain. Another pair of doors lead into the foyer, which is raised above the living room and provides the 1st glimpse into the home’s remarkable and memorable interior. The living room with 14 foot high ceilings looks onto the front terrace and pool though 5 floor to ceiling glass windows, each flocked by pleated white linen draperies. The eye catching custom V’Soke wall to wall white rug with colorful floral accents is in pristine condition and guides your attention to the one of a kind bright orange 22 foot angle sofa and free form coffee table which - the perfect space for cocktail hour. All of the original décor accents are still in the home from the days of Elrod, all adding to the home’s charm and nostalgic spell. Directly off the living room is a wonderful entertainment space complete with a game table, sofa seating and a sunken bar stocked full of period cocktail accoutrements. The dining room is adjacent and it’s grand round table and chandelier provides formal seating for 8 atop a round a citron yellow hand-tufted rug. The dining room has a view of a tented outdoor seating area, boasting an outdoor dining table for 4 and two bright yellow sofa and 2 chairs under an original wrought iron chandelier. There are two kitchens in this home, one prep kitchen with a dishwasher and sink right off the dining room for convenient service for dining guests, and the main kitchen sits close with direct access to the breakfast room which has seating for 4 and a nice view into a vibrant green bamboo garden. The home has 4 bedrooms, each with on suite baths and flat screen tvs. Right off the breakfast room is a guest room known as “the blue room” for it’s blue walls and carpeting. The set of double size side by side beds are nestled against the original custom large white bed frame that looks stunning against the room’s bright turquoise walls. The room opens up to a pool terrace shaded with canvas lattice with plenty of seating. The master dressing room and bath looks onto a lush private garden. The sleek vanity is made of white carrara glass and pickled ash cabinets and is lit by a French crystal chandelier. This leads to a remarkably large walk in closet, complete with a large island with Lucite drawers and bits of nostalgia to highlight the Golden Era in which the home was built and decorated.
